Sifa Terms of Service
Thank you for using Sifa Employee Recognition! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sifa website, web applications, mobile apps, and services (collectively, the “Services”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By setting up an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organization, you warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Sifa platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Services in any manner, including browsing our website, registering an account, or interacting with employee rewards, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes as described in Section 13.
2. Account Eligibility & Registration
Sifa is a workplace recognition tool. To create an account, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
- Register using accurate corporate information (e.g., your corporate email address).
- Keep your password secure and not share your credentials outside of your authorized workspace.
You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify Sifa support immediately if you suspect any security breach or unauthorized access.
3. Platform Usage Rules & Restrictions
You agree to use Sifa in accordance with all applicable laws and organizational guidelines. Specifically, you agree not to:

Sifa facilitates peer recognition, custom badge issuance, and point allocation. Depending on the configurations chosen by your employer:
- Points Valuation: Recognition points hold no cash value outside of the program specified by your employer. They cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed outside Sifa.
- Employer Responsibility: Your employer determines the reward options, budget allocations, and validation policies. Sifa acts strictly as an intermediary system.
- Tax Implications: Employees are solely responsible for any personal income tax liabilities arising from receiving physical or virtual gifts or rewards.
5. Billing, Subscription & Payments
If you purchase a paid workspace subscription:
- Subscription Cycles: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on your chosen cycle.
- Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except where explicitly required by local consumer legislation.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscription contracts renew automatically. You must cancel before your next renewal date to avoid further charges.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Sifa, including its logos, brand design, codebase, user interface, graphics, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Sifa Employee Recognition.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the platform during your active subscription period. You may not copy, reproduce, or modify our code or designs.
7. User Content & Conduct
When sending recognitions, writing comments, or uploading photos, you grant Sifa a license to host, display, and process that content so that we can deliver the Services.
8. Account Termination & Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your workspace access immediately if:
- You violate these Terms or your employer's organizational policy.
- Subscription payments fail repeatedly.
- Required by law or a valid government authority.
9. Warranty Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from error or downtime.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SIFA BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF THE PLATFORM.
Our total cumulative liability to you or your organization for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Sifa in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Sifa Employee Recognition is registered, without regard to conflicts of law provisions.
Any disputes or arbitration proceedings arising under these Terms shall be resolved in local courts of the headquarters location, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction therein.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material updates:
- We will change the “Last Updated” date above.
- We will notify administrators of paid workspaces via email or platform banners.
Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
